WORKSHOP PROCESS

Inspection, assembly and handover

Assess

Strip and assess the asset. Confirm asset identification, drawings and the required scope.

Inspect

NDT verification of shell and shaft as required by the agreed scope.

Assemble

Locking element, bearing, seal and housing assembly, with recorded torque and bearing-clearance checks.

Lag

Rubber, polyurethane or ceramic lagging, with material, surface finish and application method specified for the pulley.

05

Record the checks

Adhesion testing, final inspection and photographs as applicable to the job.

Provide completion records

Provide the agreed quality dossier and completion records for client handover and future maintenance reference.

PULLEY LAGGING

Rubber, polyurethane and ceramic

Specify the material and contact surface for the pulley position, belt and operating conditions.

Rubber lagging

A resilient belt-contact surface. Select the compound and plain or grooved finish for traction, drainage and wear.

Rubber applications

Polyurethane lagging

For abrasive fines and recurring lagging wear on suitable non-drive pulleys. Confirm the grade, surface finish and belt-contact requirements.

Polyurethane applications

Ceramic lagging

A wear-resistant contact surface. Specify tile profile, coverage and backing for drive traction or non-drive belt contact.
