We usually collect information directly through forms, email, telephone, meetings and our work. We also receive information from authorised representatives, employers, recruitment providers and nominated referees where appropriate. General enquiries may be anonymous or use a pseudonym where practicable. Without necessary details, we may be unable to provide a quotation, service or application assessment.
We collect sensitive information only where reasonably necessary, with consent unless otherwise permitted or required by law. Do not upload identity, medical, tax or bank documents through general enquiry forms. Only provide other people’s details when authorised.
2. How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, assess specifications, prepare quotations, supply goods, organise deliveries, carry out and document work, manage accounts, and address warranty and support matters. Recruitment information is used to assess applications and employment enquiries, contact applicants and undertake appropriately authorised checks. It is handled separately from sales enquiries. Retention for future opportunities must match the purpose explained to you or be separately agreed.
Other uses require appropriate consent or another lawful basis. Visiting our website is not blanket consent.

We also use software, cloud, email, hosting and IT providers, recruitment providers, nominated referees, advisers and insurers. Information may be disclosed to authorities where required or authorised by law.
We limit disclosure to what is needed and require appropriate handling. We do not sell or rent personal information for another organisation’s marketing. Technical photographs or job records are not used for promotion without the necessary permission.
4. Overseas handling
Our cloud systems, hosting, backups, technical support and dealings with overseas suppliers may involve handling personal information outside Australia. Where required by the Australian Privacy Principles, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient does not breach those principles in handling the information.

We hold information in electronic systems, email and document records, and paper records where needed. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No system offers absolute security.
We retain information only while reasonably needed for its purpose or applicable legal, contractual and record-keeping requirements, then take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it. Retention varies by record type. We assess suspected data breaches and notify affected people and regulators where required by law.
