Inspection of belt run, loading, pulleys, idlers and existing tracking arrangements. Findings and recommended corrective work are recorded following the inspection.
Record where and when the belt moves off centre: empty or loaded, at start-up or normal speed, and in each operating direction.
Include the belt and splice condition, loading position, pulley and idler alignment, build-up, structural condition and existing training equipment in the inspection.
Any component recommendation follows the site assessment and an agreed specification. A tracker is not a substitute for correcting off-centre loading, seized components or damaged supports.
Observe belt run from protected, authorised locations. Adjustment and hands-on work require isolation and the applicable site controls.
Inspection information
Send the conveyor ID, belt width and speed, loading conditions, failure history and photographs from safe observation points. Record the condition before and after corrective work.
